Karli and Tyler met in the early Spring of 2021. Tyler was about to graduate from Keene State College and Karli had just gotten home from UNE for the summer before her senior year of college. Both of them were working summer jobs at the Keene YMCA; Karli as a gymnastics camp counselor and Tyler as a Wakonda camp counselor. Karli's coworker and Tyler's roommate who were dating at the time set them up with each other's numbers, and the rest is history!

The Stroshine's and family friends were on a cruise to Bermuda in June 2025. One night Tyler and Karli's dad, Chris, took a walk to scope out the best spot for Tyler to propose.
